gearbox swap

hey does anyone know if the gearbox out of 92 eg civic which had d15b4 dual carby engine gearbox would fit in a crx 88 model twin cam engine

yes dimensions wise it should fit. But , the main drivespline may be different size / spline rating...

also, the 92 maybe hydrolic and the crx is cable?

I think the GL is cable..
So it should be alright..
EG Civics came with either hydraulic or cable..

i don't think it will work. I have d15b eg and i tried to put a d16a box in but the shafts are different in spline size and also in their configoration, as twin cam boxes have a half shaft on the passenger side of the engine. I'm not sure about 88 crxs though so maybe check out the driveshafts and see if the are both 1 piece or if one has a half shaft.

you fellas are right, it will fit but the splines are different, also dont thing the D15b gearbox would be as tough as the D16 box.
