hey all,
went on oemacuraparts.com to get some stuff for the CL9 and unfortunately, they do not send stuff overseas anymore. See below.
Unfortunately, due to a recent policy enforcement by American Honda, we can no longer ship outside of the United States.

Noticed a lot of other USA based oem honda parts website do not offer postage outside of USA as well. Is there a cheaper alternative for oem parts rather then buying from local "stealerships"?
Feedbacks and inputs welcome

You could look into redirection services, which you would set as your postage address with that website, it ships to the redirection location, which then gets posted to you.
Also
http://www.hondapartsdirect.com/
But they don't offer parts for the Accord Euro, I think!

Redirection is your best bet then.

There are services available, I've never used it myself, but I know people who have and it came through fine.

I think I just managed to scrape through on my last order...local dealer wanted $250 odd for a handful of nuts and bolts, got it delivered through OEMAcuraParts for $110 (and a majority of that was EXPRESS postage).
Funny thing was OEMAcuraParts could get me the parts quicker than my local dealer (who said it was a 2-3week wait).
Maybe the Aussie dealers had a sook about not being able arse rape customers...

Try contacting Autofair Honda on the K20a forums. They have a very good reputation. I have spent heaps of money there on my CL9 and their service is excellent and shipping prices to AUS are very reasonable.

no I haven't used them. The reason I liked shipito is because they only charge you a flat fee of $8.50 what ever the value of the item. You aren't forced to buy an annual subscription. They also offer very very reasonable shipping options.

Priceusa doesn't charge commission - only cost of item + shipping to their US address then delivery insurance + delivery costs to you
They do have an estimator (when you go to order page but don't order!)
Risk is they don't know cost of shipping until it arrives and they can find out. Been using them fine for a few clothing items not sure about car parts.

If you have friends in NZ, its might be worthwhile to get them to help you out. I did this for my Toyota after Toyota Australia tried to shaft me some 70%+ without shipping.

I noticed all acura dealers that shipped to au have stopped. Even popular ones on eBay that shipped have all stopped in these last few days.
Maybe Honda Australia is winging they don't sell as overseas with shipping is cheaper than buying here

If ACCC gets enough complaints and they look into it and find Honda is actually doing this, they will be in for a big fine plus legal costs.
BTW every acura dealer does not ship to au anymore, I have checked about 5 today online plus eBay , we are doomed no more cheap tax parts hahhah

it seems either we have someone willing to do the dirty work of buying parts and shipping them to us plus a small % for their time, or we seek alternative channels.
looks like NZ, singapore, or even a parts dealer in japan might be in order.

Or China, where I could get a $120 dollar in tank fuel filter for 15 bucks

I thought in china parts will be expensive due to import tax? (i remember reading somewhere the gov't is encouraging local manufacturers thru tariffs/import duties). Or is it just a load of hot air?

The parts are actually made in China
The Chinese accord are are something like 80-90% local content.

when you compare this to the local accords, do we have some parts from china too? or is it mostly thailand/japan?
i remember being told that filters are now being made in thailand, lessor parts are coming out of japan as well.
