Hello,
Today I was driving the civic. I heard a Pop from the rear end. Then motor shut off. When I tried to restart I heard crunching from the motor. Now it cranks but can't get it running. All electrics still work.
You guys reckon I took in too much water in the heavy rain through my CAI? Any other ideas?
thanks

Where you aqua planning at the time?
It takes quite a bit of water to hydrolock
Next time no driving in rain/torrential downpour

Doubt its hydrolocked, unless you were driving through a lake.
Give us more info, how many kms, whats your servicing schedule like etc etc etc.
Sounds to me like its popped a timing belt, and when you crank it over its putting valves into pistons.
Check your timing belt. If it was that... Gg

Any oil in the motor. Sounds like its ceased. And the starter motor grinding trying to start it!

Timing belt was done 20,000kmS ago. Looks like not getting any spark atm. Still a no go.
