Hey All,
Picked up my EK today! It's a 1997 CXI manual, silver with 130XXX kms on the clock. I was holding out for a GLI but could never find one in SA, so settled for a CXI. It's in very good condition and am happy with it. One thing though, sometimes at idle the car seems to vibrate a little bit more than it should...like the revs drop a little too low. It never stalls though - is that normal? Maybe I'm not used to it. I can't tell how low the revs are cos I don't have a tacho haha!!
Anyway bought this car as a daily. Will probably mod it in the future.

Welcome mate
That's a tidy car, looks minty clean and well taken care of, mudflaps too!
What are your plans for it? I'd say get a mouldless EJ8 front bar and a mouldless facelift rear bar. Does wonders in terms of appearance :)

Just recently I bought a fender roller and heat gun, so today I decided to try roll one of the fenders. Came out pretty good for a first try. Could be a little flatter in some areas. I also accidentally pulled it a little (where the fender meets the bumper), but it's not very noticeable.

A while back I bought some buddy club n+ coilovers, so they'll go in soon. Also got my hands on some BBS RS070 (15x7 ET16). Should fit nicely for a DD car. Need to be refurbished a bit, so will look at doing them soon too.

Looks like the guard rolling turned out pretty decent :) Pretty brave doing that yourself! Considering it's a DD car... wait, what? ;)

I have a question regarding LCAs. I heard it's OEM or F7 or nothing. Are the other LCAs really that bad? I assume it's the bushings that just don't last? Anyone used other branded LCAs and found them real crap? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
