Hi Guys, just picked up a used euro from the yards at a great price and only 35,000km on it woohoo. Loving the car, cannot fault it at all in any way...
Only question im asking is that i am assuming that previous owner was not so much of a driver. Car is 2008 built so that makes it about 4 years or so old (will be 5 years in Aug). But has already had the services up to 60,000km done on it already (guess they followed the months or km whichever comes first rule)..logbook
So my question is since i am driving it now, when i hit 40,000km...what service am i suppose to do, as in my old car i always hit the milage before the months so it has never been an issue for me.

-Check log books
-Get serviced by honda (if you wish to have a better resale value/warranty)
-Transmission service (THIS IS A MUST FOR ANY ACCORD/EURO)
-Check back brakes/rotors as the oem pads/rotors wear away very quickly (design flaw)
-Check sunroof for leaks

at 35,000km on a CU2 i cant imagine too many things wrong with it.
i guess you could wait it out like you said wait till the milage more so than the months.
Some people drive less some people drive more and that can effect how many months it takes really.
So go with Milage>Duration (months)

so should i bring it in at 40,000km then go from there (thing is the pages up till 60,000km have been filed already hahahah).
i dont image anything will happen, just wondering paperwork wise how i go about from here

If you plan on reselling within the next few years I would go by the servicing based on date so do the 60000km service. I know the car would seem more appealing to myself as a buyer seeing that you followed the recommended service intervals at least.
As you already stated, the log books actually say 10000km OR 12 months(or was it 6 months I don't remember) so the previous owner obviously wanted to take the best care possible sparing no expense when it came to servicing.

who ever has been doing the log book on your euro prior seems like a noob.
Weird how all the pages in the log book has been filled. It could be bo-gus enteries where they could say their doing all this service and it hasnt done any or very little.
Is there anyway you can get a NEW! book and start again.
Messy bookwork may have an effect to some when it comes time to sell the CU2 later on.
i reackon start again man.

on the back of the accord euro log book there is a section for additional services which do not fall in the manufacturers recommended guidelines.
however you be wary of the services some dealerships do, I was inspecting a lot of euros around the 35k - 40k kms range, however sadly almost all of them have neglected to adjust the valves/tappets even though they had insisted they have serviced it according to the log books.
I pointed this out to them and they said it's not something they have control over, clearly they just want to turnover the cars asap.

Not the owners fault, the dealers skip valve clearance check if they are busy.

These were second hand cars I inspected at the dealership where they claimed they had serviced the car.
