Fusion rocks man! i had a 12' Fusion powerplant sub before and that thing fuk'n pumped so loud n deep. TWICE louder then 2 Fusion Encounter subs combined.. As for speakers in my opinion Fusions are excellent but Rockford Fosgate are bit better. My mate had em in his car (no sub) and u could hear it from a mile away, they produce a nice clear even balance of both treble/bass.

It all comes down to your opinion..
What sounds good to others, may not sound as good to you..
As listening is subjective..
Best way to buy speakers, is to listen to them yourself..

BTW, for the record.. I've got JL splits and JL 6x9s

Isnt JL Audio a cheap brand?

Alpine have never done me any harm, but u need the dollars for them.
Pionner are good for there price.

One of my mates sons works at fusion, and they could apparently get me a good deal, i didnt and still didnt know anything about them, so i declined.

JL Audio Cheap?... they got one of the best subs in the world, 13W7... have u heard that thing?... its ridiculously loud but clean and clear... Pioneer subs that retail for bout $179, yeh its a BRAND name, but when u compare it to a entry level JL Sub, the WO, where it retails for $279, a HUGE difference in sound quality... i mean obviously u wont get the Do0F out of the JL when compared to theh Pioneer, but listen 2 them both... u'll hear a difference ;).. same goes with alpine

edit: the 13W7 retails at $2098... jus for the sub  cheap?... dunno bout that...

I too would agree that there are many other brands to put ahead of Fusion. Some of them are:

Vibe
Crossfire
Hertz
Morel
Phoenix Gold
Diamond
DynAudio
Image Dynamics
Rainbow
Eton
Phass
Boston
Focal
Digital Designs

Just to mention a few. However, at the end of the day if you have auditioned many speakers and like the Fusions then by all means stick with them. ;)

No need for this subby bs..
I'm happy with my JL 6x9s :D

But yes, JL is a very good brand, in my opinion.
They were made in America FOR American music (i.e. their type of music - bassy rnb, hiphop etc)

nah, JL arent made for bass brother, their slogan is "ahead of the curve"... they concentrate on purely SQ (Sound Quality).. i've got the 6x9's too... there are alot of other speakers out there which are alot bassier... but dang they sound GOOOOOOD.... :D

thnx for the low down on all the good brands lol, i realised that clarion, alpine and pioneer are good for what you pay but i also realise that there is a LOT LOT better stuff out there. And me personally am one to pay big dollars lol, i love to have the best, i would rather wait a little bit longer for the satisfaction of knowing i got what i wanted. I plan on spending about ~$3k on my sound system so i should get something decent for that.

yea i'd have to agree dude, the fusion speakers are pretty good. i got 2 sets of 6" speakers + 2 12" fusion powerplant subs and some big 4 chan fusion amps. pretty ****in loud. very rarely do i take it over half volume and when i do i feel like my car's gonna fall to bits. ive put out 146db when i first got it installed so it was untuned.. :D

umm kicker arent exactly yhe most expensive speakers ive seen, and d be honest the only pair ive heard (my mates) werent anything special, but i wont diss the brand cos his were old.

and to the above post about BOSE, yeh bose is frikken sweet, we have the top of range BOSE home entertainment system and i fully want BOSE in my car but i havnt looked into cost.

I personally love the sound of my Focal Polykevlar's truly a brilliant sound. Some of the best mid drivers I have heard around the price range. Boston make some awesome sounding speakers as well. I have my focal splits upfront with a boston pro sub, combined with a rockford amp and a cadence amp. I am quite happy with the sound. Dynaudio also make some sweet sounding splits.

all depends on what you want to achieve from your system, each brands have different way to market their product. Do you want clarity, SPL, quality etc.....many factor to consider.
