Urgent help pls

Dear all, attempted to change alternator today with my mate .everything went well except for the last step.. Can't put the alternator belt back!!

Toooo tight....any solution?

Try putting the belt on the alternator before tigheting bolts . ???

Tried that. No good cant put alternator back

whatever you do don't stretch out the belt , are you 100% sure it suits your engine ? maybe its same model buy could be that you have a d16 and bought a b16 alternator

The belt is oem, the small tensioner under the ps pump is not adjustable?

Or any other way to adjust the tension on the small tensioner?
