Hey i have a problem with my Honda Civic 98 vtir, Firstly when i'm im neutral i hear this knocking sound coming from near the pistons, and when i press the clutch in, it stops, not too sure what it is, im gonna go mechanic anyways to ask what it is but yeah. :( i think one of my friends said the bearings are wearing out. not too sure. :(:(
could even be the water pump , got a video of the noise?

sounds like gearbox problems, as ECU-man has stated

If it only occurs in gear its a gear box problem!

Clutch I would say. Possibly release bearing
But best to take a video of the problem for people to help u out online. Taking it to a mechanic would be a lot better

he mentions when he presses the clutch it goes away,
the release bearing is not doing anything when the clutch is releases, however when the clutch is pressed the release bearing begins to work.
