Hey guys i found a passenger SRS airbag for $20 and was wondering if its easy to install and everything is there for *plug and play* since the EK1 side is empty lol. What would i need to do? Obviously i need to cut the airbag spot out, Also its a 96.

Not that simple..
First, you can't just cut a hole in your dash and plop the airbag in. The airbag is bolted onto the dash beam which acts as a brace. Early model (pre-facelift EK1) doesn't have the mounts in the dash beam to bolt the airbag on.
Next, you'll need to get the SRS wiring loom to suit dual airbag EK's and presumably the SRS unit aswell

Theres already the wire there for it, its blocked off with a dummy resistor,
but you'd have to cut a hole in the dash lol

If you are really keen then buy a dash as well.

the time it takes to get this sorted and legal, it would just be easyer to get a job and work a few weeks then buy a car that came with the air bag from stock...

Thanks guys for the replies. I might just sell it off and buy an airbag tray.

If it's blocked off... why would you need a tray? You'll have to hack up the dash to shove a tray in there
