Is this how it's supposed to be assembled?

Also, what's this?

is this supposed to be just a hole or is there a tube that's supposed to go in it?

plug the IAT into it...

I had to extend the wire. was for a d17 though, dunno what sensors you have..

It woulda been plugged into the old intake arm

i think with your vtir, the iat is on intake manifold not on intake pipe.

Wow that's my engine! like 2 years ago haha! Man I miss driving the teg :(

But yes, IAT sensor is on the manifold, so that will need to be plugged. NOT WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE.

Can you take that rubber piece off? see what the hole is like underneath?

The hole is just a hole, way smaller than that, maybe 1cm in radius?

What should I block it off with?

maybe if you can find a rubber bung like that one but without a hole in it?

plug one of them mini filters onto it if you want.

if not try pry out the rubber and slide some rubber hose over the hole and then use hose clamps to stop it from moving.

Mini filter wont attach to it as it's only a hole.

if you could get the lil nipple that plugs in it could.

but then if you could get that then you could get one that blocked it off too.

if u take it to a welder and get the rubber gromet out he could probably weld a plate over it or melt someting in there maybe. depends on the material.

Also Baal, consider maybe just getting a CAI instead, seems like a lot of mucking around just to get a cool induction noise and a lot of heat soak.

nah man you have to prove a point. its the principle!

looks like it could fit a Jazz since jazz has IAT before the TB
