WINTON track notes & Video

Hey with the Honda Nationals only a month away Id like to get a bit of an idea as to what to expect from Winton.

So has anybody got good current track notes, ie gear change points, corner position do's and donts.

Throw up you Video too if you it, RPM and gearchange overlay would be appreciated.

You can't just drive on someone's notes. You will have to get out there and experience 'your' driving style and improve on that. Different cars with different drivers correspond differently on the track.

Thanks well aware of that mate thou every track has a quickline for fwd cars. Im looking for a few hints on some of the more technical or important corners. No harm in preping before an event. Even F1 drivers spend hrs playing tracks online to learn em !

look up a few vids on YT. most of the corners are 3rd gear corners with a couple of 2nd gear hairpins. and a sweeper usually in 4th.

Driving a Honda around Winton is a far cry from F1.
Watch some youtube and try not to complicate things.You should have a lot of fun.

It's a very straightforward track though, watch a few videos and have a chat to a few guys on the day at H Nats and you'll have no problems. Don't take things so seriously guys, we're not racing for sheep stations!

eh. just be careful on the S after the main straight, it's the only one next to a wall

rest is forgivable even if you come off, maybe besides sweeper if the grass is wet as you can slide across the grass and hit the wall.
