i think i have seen figures saying a B18C EG would run 13 sec.
with pretty standard B18C (not allmotor build or turbo).
so theres an idea.
but it depends how worked it is.

i dont uderstand why if the intention is to build the motor you would pay the extra for a jap engine or a type r engine for that matter....oh i know fap fap fap

Mid-high 14's if you're lucky in that case.

if you change the cams and port, balance the head of a b18c2 how is that any better to a b18c with the same work.
i thought that"s all that sepreated them.
so the only advantage would be gear box.

Excellent idea. B16A or B18CR box. Or an aftermarket final drive.

if all your looking for is numbers then there are options but if this is your daily then that has to be considered.
or just rip a skid and everyone will clap and officer will try to give you a ticket but just say "i cant give u my license officer" he will say "why not" and then you will say "because you are head crab zombie" then shot him in the head then ride off on your motorcycle. just make sure u have wepon

DC5R? Really... In the high 14 sec range, I need it to be 11's - 12 sec car & everyday driven while still maintaining reliability or this isn't possible?

An NA 11-12 sec honda isnt going to be a good daily
much easier to boost into the 12s and remain a comfy daily

What a shame! Boost is fun, but the cons are high.. Boost leak, this that etc.
What cons are there for NA built 11's-12's daily?

car has to be lightened to the shithouse
peaky powerband
who wants to drive a peaky tincan as daily just to have 12sec b18c lol
Peaky power band also means cammed. So not much low down power. That brap brap.
Rev to 3k slipping clutch just to take off. Lmaooooo.
Only way (in my opinion) that you could achieve those times with it still being daily friendly, would be a kswap.
Got money, dont need it daily friendly? Strip that thing and just build a b series.
If this were me (And for some ****ed up reason I had to stay B series). I'd go a B16a turbo set up. None of this high comp is bad bullshieeet. Highcomp and boost in the right set up. Is very fun. Just ask mr grim. Lol.
Kswap bor. Dat daily friendly new gen reliable engine.

Or you could be smart, get cams made for epic lowend and epic highend profiles.
Idle to 4k = good
4k to 7k = horrible
7k to 10k = powaaaahhh
But you cant just buy that off the shelf so yea. Still yet to see someone do this sort of build :(

11sec, NA from 1.8 L will be horrible to drive as a daily..
I don't think you can do it from stock internals
I don't think it'll be very fuel efficient
I don't think it'll have much torque
I don't think it'll be smooth

I "need" a open wheel race car capable of competing with Formula 1 vehicles but I want to be able to clear speed bumps and have space for my groceries.
on second thought.
I dont actually need it.
but if i were to do it. i would get 2 cars. who needs an 11sec car in the carpark.
