Hey guys as stated my front passanger side tyre has small bits missing in one particular area. So i went to check the drivers side to see if its happening as well and it looked perfectly fine. Was wondering if you can shed some light on what could be the cause of this.
Heres some pics

Some info on my setup:
- 15x7 +25 wrapped in 205/50s.
- Guards are kind of lipped but not rolled. Will consider rolling in the future though
- Still got my inner splash guards (some parts are starting to rip due to scrubbing but i cut out the areas where it was sharp so it wouldn't poke into the tyre)
- factory camber arms with natural camber

Looks like a screw (plastic or metal) on or around the guard or inner guard rubbing at partial lock
As others said , jack up and inspect for a rubbed or "polished" worn area

okay well i jacked the car up, had a look under it and there is no sign of wear except for the inner splash guards which has partially ripped a little due to scrub and one fender clip which holds the top of the inner splash guards. I cut out the sharp bits on the inner splash guards so it doesnt come into contact with the tyres but i doubt that could cause it to take bits of my tyres out.
The marks on the tyres are in the same location throughout the whole tyre so im assuming its happening in one place.

looking at it again Im almost certain its being shredded from the inside fender lip when youre cornering and the suspension compresses

Ohh could be, i'll be getting a new set of guards this weekend hopefully and will be getting them rolled to prevent this problem. Those small cuts wouldn't affect performance or anything would it?

hey mate, i've had this same problem
1) jack up your car
2) take wheel off
3) take off inner wheel arches
There is a metal lip welded to the chassis of the car directly above where the tyres would be. This metal lip is gonna eat up your tyres (trust me on this one).
You need to get a hammer and mallet and bash the s*** out of it and flatten it down so there is no edge to cut into the tyres. I'm not sure but a heat gun may help. It'll take a long long time, i didn't do it with a heat gun, but used another piece of steel and flattened it up good.
If that really is the problem:
1) suspension not stiff enough
2) rolling the guards not gonna help
hope this helps!

also, if that wasn't actually the problem - there's a useless rubber piece which sticks out under the guard closer to the passenger headlight. You may want to have a look at that. IF it's causing a problem cut it off =]
