Just got my Repsol 1000rr. Such a step up in terms of power from my new R6 and just at light. Such a beast!
I rode a few 1000's before choosing to go with the Honda, definitely the best to ride and aesthetically the nicest in my opinion.

Hopefully the photo uploads it's the first photo I've ever put on.

Did u test ride the new R1? I personally would have gone the R1 with abs and traction control as standard. CBR1000rr still a bit behind in the gadgets. Traction control is a wonderful thing if you do a lot of hills and track.

I test rode both the cbr1000rr and the r1 and thought the cbr was a lot better with everyday riding where as r1 a bit harder to ride unless u open up. But i didn't get a 1000cc at the end as I needed a commuter bike so I got the 700CC NC700S which has tonnes of low end torque compared to any race bikes . If i wanted a 1000 though would have chosen the R1 just coz of the added electric gadgets :)

Congrats anyway, looks wonderful in the repsol. Maybe im regretting getting 700cc.

I certainly did and I found the r1 felt like a jet ski to ride. I originally wanted the R1 until I rode one but hey each to their own. Every one has their own riding style

Did either of you two try out the S1000RR?

Yeah my mate has one
But I had to buy my fiancé a new bike and pay for my wedding along with building the gearbox in my race car
It was out of my budget
No regrets with the cbr1000rr though, absolute dream to ride and being the anniversary edition only 270 were made so they will hold value nicely

Good choice. I test rode both and would have to agree that the cbr is the far better everyday bike. R1 looks the ducks nuts but is very ill suited for the road...def a track bike.

Thanks mate! Yeah definitely, it's pretty grumpy down low, certainly different with the cross plane crank

Yup! It's wicked. It's so friendly for a 1000 but an absolute animal when you get on it hard. I love it! Power wheelies FTW!
