High Performance and Long Lasting

A durable high performance tyre for larger cars. It can handle the heat generated by punishment from powerful cars and hard drivers, yet it is flexible in the cold for brilliant wet grip.

Have you got a powerful car that eats up its tyres? The Yokohama (http://www.yokohama.com.au/) S.drive can deal with all the horsepower and punishment you can dish out, and then says "Is that all you got?"

The key to the S.drive (http://www.yokohama.com.au/Tyres/S-Drive.aspx)'s remarkable durability is the heat-resistant rubber compound, which is similar to the one in the legendary dual duty road and racing tyre: the ADVAN Neova.
Fast acceleration, high speed cornering and hard braking brings the best out of the S.drive. They can even survive the occasional track day. It suits high horsepower cars with big wheels that require low profile tyres. It’s ideal for demanding drivers and performance cars like AMG Mercedes, HSV and SS Holden’s, XR6 Turbo and XR8 Falcons, Nissan GTRs, Subaru WRX and Sti as well as Mitsubishi Evo.

S.drive Technical Tyre Features

Nano Technology Rubber Compound

The rubber acts like a soft tyre (http://www.yokohama.com.au/Footer/Useful-Links/All-About-Tyres.aspx) at a micro level to give grip, yet it resists the wear and high heat generated by powerful cars when driven hard. With a UTQG tread-wear rating of 300, it’s a long lasting high performance tyre.

Rigid Tread Blocks and Stiff Sidewalls

The S.drive has large rigid tread blocks with minimal grooves. Tight grooves allow tread blocks to lean on each other to resist deformation. Rayon carcass construction and stiff sidewalls give sharp steering and allow the tyre to maintain its shape when pushed.

These are a great tyre, with fantastic grip and long lasting wear. Wet or dry roads - they stick extremely well. I have just gotten 50,000km from my first pair of S.drives and have just replaced them with the second pair. A very nice looking tyre tread-wise and tyre wall sits flat. I drive through a hill/gorge with winding corners every day and being an all-wheel-drive sports car it moves pretty fast with ease. Compared to my stock factory tyres, the S.drives are much quieter. I will most likely buy a third set after another 50,000+km. Thanks Yokohama for making such a great performance tyre.
