It’s not too difficult to make a fast tyre. Just throw a soft compound, with a shallow tread depth over a reasonable construction. But you’d be lucky to get four track days over 10,000kms. The Advan Neova AD08 (http://www.yokohama.com.au/Tyres/ADVAN-Neova-AD08.aspx?pg=2) is truly fast and truly durable. It’s not a soft compound and has about 8mm of tread, about the same as a normal car tyre.

Customers have commented saying they can get 10+ track days and over 30,000kms out of the tyres. Set Advan Neovas up like race tyres (http://www.yokohama.com.au/Footer/Useful-Links/All-About-Tyres.aspx) so that your hot pressures, when you come off the track, are between 32 and 36 psi.

On the street, use the manufacturer’s tyre placard pressure recommendations.

The car is primarily a weekend track car. It's driven to each track day (can do 700+ KM in a weekend). I drive to each of the tracks on the NEOVA AD08's, blast around the track, and then drive home.
I'm surprised. My AD08's are 10 track days old now and some 7000-8000KM overall. I'm not kind on them (you other RWD guys know what I'm talking about). I still knocked 1.5 seconds off my PI time with an added rear wing and front splitter. The tyres just aren't wearing out!
Time was a 1.49.4 on these tyres.
