hey if i buy this. will it fit into my car?

i really want a gps unit into my car. as my euro only has a standard 6 cd stacker nothing else

Mate,

Depends on what you mean by will it work - i.e. that unit is for US spec so all your controls and soft display will be aimed toward a driver on the left hand side vs. right hand side.

You'll also have to be pretty keen with electrical wiring as you may have to make changes to your harness.

Lastly, its missing the navigation dvd drive and the upper display which you will probably want to get any additional functionality beyond your standard head unit.

My suggestion, find a wrecker in your area and source an accord euro with navi of similar vintage. Then get all the parts and wiring complete (should cost anywhere from $500 to $800). Its relatively painless this way...

Otherwise, there are aftermarket headunits that have way more features...they just look a little non-OEM and cheap IMHO. The nicest one is an upper lcd display

ye theres so many other oem gps units on ebay but they all look exactly the same but different faceplate numbers... where can i find the faceplate id for my car? because im scared to buy one and in the end it doesnt fit...

Unless you can get a complete kit from the uk (ebay.co.uk), dont bother getting anything else.

The Aus version is unique in having silver trim/bezel around the lcd AND green backlighting (US Accord 2dr coupe is the only othe unit with silver bezel but that has red backlighting).

You can tell if a nav head unit is right hand drive if the hvac AUTO button is closer to the right side (easy driver access) ;)

You cant miss the Aus version ;).
