Hiya

The spark plug cover bolts in my b18 are snapped somehow, I was wondering where can I find replacement ones? And are they torqued to a specific torque setting? My service manual doesn't really mention it

Cheers

Honda, no real torque setting its only holding a sp cover, so tight enough so the cover is secure

The nuts underneath the spark plug cover that hold the valve cover down have a torque spec of 9.5ft-lb, just like the rest of the valve cover nuts.

However if you are referring to the ones that hold the spark plug cover down, only tighten them with your hand and a socket extension. they really don't need to be any sort of tight. If you tweak them too much you will crack the plastic cover or possibly damage the nut/thread.

Nah I was talking about the actual bolts coming off the head, not the nuts to tighten it. Thanks for that info!

20ft-lbs for the those. They are actually the VTEC oil rail/cam cap bolts. You need to remove the valve cover to change those bolts, also you will need a 12mm deep socket.

Alright thanks for that Super, I'll contact Honda.
