Hey all, I'm looking into buying a 91 integra. It apparently has a really healthy engine. I'm only looking to keep the car a year before I either sell it or just not drive it. Anyway here is the picture of the damage. http://vvcap.net/db/2U2x1QdYkWg7E9D94vJm.htp

Would only cost $2500 and has done 170,000km

Not 100% sure however it looks like the rust as spread under the paint and hence the further damage to the paint around it? Or is it just the clear coat lifting because of the weak spot?

Anyway, what are you plans for the car? Are you thinking of repairing it fairly cheaply and then keeping it for the year? Or are you planning to just drive it as is? Post another picture where we can see the actual seals around the top end and we may be able to give you a better idea, but if you are really keen, I would make sure he is aware that you are extremely keen as long as that panel is not too expensive to fix, and ask the guy to let you take the car to a few repair places and get quotes. Offer him a tank of petrol if you decide not to buy it (what's $50 when you dodged a bullet?). Treat it like an extended test drive!

I'm planning on a cheap fix. Not bothered as long as it doesn't put a whole in the door over the next year
