Hi All,

Please see the attached picture.
My Car issue is unexpected behaviour of the Car during idling.
I have cleaned the IACV valve. Reset the ECU twice.
But it did not helped.
While troubleshooting I found a small pipe whose one end is blocked with a Nut (Bolt) & other end is directly connected to the part which is exactly behind IACV & Throttle Body structure. While the Car was running & I removed the Bolt & placed my finger, I can sense the Air being sucked in & while the Finger was not blocking it, Car Engine REVs were excellent & as soon as I put the Nut back, Engine REVs became very low.
Please let me know, where the other end of this pipe will go.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,
Is there any Honda Civic 96-99 Owner living near Merrylands who can just give me 5 minutes to see where the other end of this pipe should go ?
I will be highly obliged.
Many Thanks,
Farooq

I'm pretty sure that goes to the charcoal canister

Thanks Dorikin.
I have attached the Picture of what my Charcoal Canister looks like.
I have highlighted the Hole which is not connected.
So, the pipe I am talking about will directly go into that Hole on the Charcoal Canister ?

Thanks,
Faisal

yeah im pretty sure thats it

if you have low idle when that port is blocked, your idle speed is probably not set correctly

Thanks a lot Dorikin.
I will connect the pipe to Charcoal canister & if needed will reset the ECU again & will update here.

Best Regards,
