Alright ill try and make this my last thread because ive pretty much raped the accord euro section with my dumb shit.

But.

Would it be social suicide to change my honda emblem badges on the front and rear to Acura emblem badges?

I feel like its on the same level as bogans changing the Holden badges to Chevrolet badges- just a ricer version. But then I also like the Acura emblem... so I dont know. What are your thoughts?

doesn't seem as bad as type r badge on non-type r

probably because acura rebadging less common than type r rebadge

social-suicide?! wtf is this? the womens-weekly forum?

If you like the way it looks, then change it. If you feel 'alienated' by it afterwards, then change it back.

It would be like a Toyota Aurion owner putting on a Lexus badge on this car. How would you feel if you saw one? :p

I personally dont see anything wrong with doing this.

My main reason is, the Euro is badged as an Acura in the US. Its the SAME car. I just dont like it when people place a badge on a car that isn't the same.

Thats what i think too. But in the interest of remaining a fully fledged, incontrovertible, heterosexual, I will most likely leave it as it is.

The interior is different I think. And they run better heads on their K24s I'm pretty sure.

I did not know that, interesting. Always seem to get shafted here in Aus. Thanks

reading the owner's manual here is depressing. ive read many over the years from various makes and you cannot help but feel that australian consumers pay more for less.

Put a BMW badge on it. Wonder if there's any laws regarding wrong badges or debadging.
I would debadge but wouldn't it leave a mark or something?

+1 Accord Euro with Type R badge is so silly. I wouldn't mind the Acura grille if you can get the genuine one, I've seen Civics with a Mesh grille and the tiny "ACURA" wording boot badge in it, looked silly too.

Do whatever makes you happy. But if making others happy is what makes you happy then probably best not to.

Well traditionally: "Honda performance models are recognised by the Red H badge, which are reserved for the Type R models and formerly our F1 cars, with ‘R’ meaning Racing."

I guess it does seem to be a bit rice if you're putting it on a 1.8 litre Civic but it's no different to putting a M badge on a 320i with M-sport bodykit I guess. I've heard people comment that modding an Accord is like putting lipstick on a pig but !@#$ them, do what you like.

It wasn't me :( I was on whirlpool discussing how much the Modulo kit costs for the CU2 and a few members came in and told us that we're wasting our money dressing up our pigs.

ROFL,

Was referring to axispower LOL

Who cares what the members say ;)

If you want to do it then do it, if you have to justification by ignorant masses, the end result will be always not worth it, too much money cause they don't and never will understand what cars are to us.

basicly if your the sort of enthusiast that enjoys large amounts of negitive camber on wheels with tyres to narrow to fit correctly,
if you enjoy offsett so excessive people on the side walks fear you,
if you enjoy stickers covering 100% of a panel instead of paint,
if you think that an ASR subframe brace looks better with out a meaty sway bar blocking it,
if you think that roof racks with a bike on them is needed for day to day driving,
if you think that an exhaust really should just be a straight pipe...straight up from the rear bar
then yes you sure can use an acura badge.

all you'd have to do to get away would be to take off out of a driveway normally, leave them behind see-sawing to get over the curb.
