manual transmission question

My parents have my old 02 gd, and it needs a new manual box, its had new bearings at 90K and now is at 180K and is stuffed again.

will the 5 speed from a GE fit a GD? we are looking out for a smashed up jazz at auctions, and if i can get a ge for parts for me, ill give the gearbox to my olds.

GD 1.3L = 1.3L GE
GD 1.5L = 1.5L GE

should fit as long as they are within their same engine specifications! u cant mix and match ...

awesome the casings are the same, so all should swap over? im sure ratios will be different though.

im not to familiar with the insides. as long as its the manual i think it'll be ok
