non srs to srs

is there anyway to make my non srs eg si into srs? like is there too much wiring or is it just a matter of swapping steering wheels? (<-- i know thats not right but is it as simple as that?)

what is your main goal. is it to have SRS or coz you like the wheel from another car

why would you want to?
cars without it are so much better
for example you would have to run sensors to power the airbags which are like a ball inside a cylindar
if the car is rocked enough the ball moves to the top triggering the airbag. i have no idea where it is located or how it works
also i think you would need some sort of certificate from an engineer just to say that it is ok because it may blow up in your face. not really the safest thing to happen when on the freeway or driving through the twistys

also i have been informed that airbags have a lifespan of 8 - 15 years so when the air bags are past the used by date they need to be replaced to pass road worthy

if u want a srs steering wheel into ur car it can b done but the srs airbag wont work too much converting non-srs to srs wirings sensors etc

i wouldn't really bother trying to do it.. just drive safely and keep an eye out for danger.

u can install the wheel but the SRS won't work, to physically have SRS work on a non-SRS car is very $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I'd assume it'd be VERY expensive to get an airbag conversion..
But I guess you can't put a price on safety..
