Wondering what your thoughts and opinions are on this
Base 06 dc5 in manual currently running
PLM headers
Xforce Hi Flow Cat
Custom 2.5 inh cat back
injen cai

Will a kpro have a huge impact on these bolt ons?
Does anyone have a kpro in a k20a3 ?
Will it make a big impact on the bolt ons?
I know its not typical and a lot of people will tell me to sell and get the type s, yes i know i can do that but i enjoy my base car.

Im also planning to get a heavy duty clutch and lightened fly wheel. Once i do this, is there anything else i can do, other than cams? Someone mentioned something about PBC/ PRC but not too sure how they work.

Any constructive feedback will be appreciated!

Why not swap out the K20a3 for a complete K20a or K20a2 with a 6 speed transmission? You will have a far better engine and transmission which will respond a lot better to modifications.

It is very easy to say "upgrade to xxx motor" but some people cannot afford the 3-4k + install to upgrade their engine, thus why they take a different approach to tuning.

The K20A3 have seen some good gains if you do a vtec killer set up or fit a K24A3 head and get some proper vtec.

I have a couple of K24A3 heads complete here if you want them

u mad?

LOL my thoughts exactly!

Do what stndrd says, be careful you don't waste too much money on a dudd.

If you're dead set on keeping your k20a3 instead of swapping it out for something with far greater potential like the k20 or k20a2, consider finding some stock k20a2 camshafts and getting those installed. The A3 only has 2 cam lobe profiles and on the inlet side only. The A2 runs 3 profiles per pair of inlet valves. They're also on both the exhaust and inlet sides which is far better. VTEC engagement on an A3 is around 2kish rpm.

This mod is a bit complicated and may end up becoming more costly than people would think. Here's a link to someone who has done it.
