i don't know abt MEL, but i do know that tanghy will hook you up if you want and i reckon you have already done your HM on the pros and cons to using a short shifter contact tanghy:)

make sure you get the right SS for your car..coz the C'z EG and the EK are slightly different, but either one will bolt on:)..and there is also one that is adjustable:)
