Where to buy ap2 front bumper???

Really want to buy an ap2 front bumper. If anyone knows where I'd be able to find one (besides eBay as I've checked with no luck) please let me know.

Also if anyone has done the conversion before - is it a big and messy job or a straight fit?

definitely buy from CFL honda. price of the bumper plus shipping to australia is very reasonable and much cheaper than you would get buying from a honda dealer. conversion is straight fit. CFL honda ship by fedex so you get the bumper in roughly 3-5 days.

just as a bit of help guys from memory ups shipping is $350 for 1 bumper. Thats still relatively cheap as the price of the bumper is $241.65. This is brand new genuine honda, but it is unpainted. Also ups shipping has tracking and also only take 3-5 days, its like express from the US.

there is a company called honda parts now or something. in the states.... they do not ship to AUS... but i just sent them an email asking if they would ship it to california (go tuning) and then have GOTUNING ship it to me.... we'll see what the outcome is... if it works then maybe you could do that also...

i will also out of curiosity get a price from here for an AP2 front bar from someone i know at honda. maybe a price for 10 or so.... lol
then i can ship them out to people

Philip Try hondapartsdeals.com they do ship in US and the bumper is about $250 however, they dont ship to Aus. Is there any way you can bring a bumper from the states with low shipping cost?

And i think the cost for ap2 from Aus honda is about $800.

Hey guys, i have got in touch with Honda here. the Bars retail for approx 1000$ AUS.

if i purchase 10, i can get them for $600 each.

they are AUS delivered and all will be in melbourne. i can pick them up and have them all here.

so $600 each.

all is needed is a deposit of 50%.
after that they will place the order... ETA could be up tp 10 weeks.

i can them post them out from here around AUS... but it is an additional charge... will not be that expensive though....

If they're Aus delivered they'll probably still have the headlight washers, so you might want to confirm whether they do for the ones interested as I believe most people would rather not have them.

ok so i have told Honda AUS we would like the US ap2 bars.
they said if i can get a vin number off a US model AP@ they can track down the exact part numbers and possibly supply the US ones without the headlight washers.

i then put a post on S2ki for anyone willing to supply me with a VIN number from their ap2. if this work i think we should be able to get front and rear bars pretty easily.

they said they need a vin as they do not have access to the US parts without a vin number.

will let people know that the deal is.

OK so I got a reply from Honda.
Yeh they have the bars with no light sprayers.... But our law states that with our xenon lights we need to have sprayers.... They gave us a price of $630 per bar but will not bring them in as its against the law to drive without sprayers for these lights.
I say $*&% the po pos/5.0.'s and we do it anyway.
Jokes blokes!!!
OK so its against the law so Honda said to import them from the states ourselves.
So I'm now talking to a few suppliers about bringing them in. If this fails well it all fails. And I will then recommend buying the APR front bar from go tuning. Its pretty much a stock bar with a front lip. Looks sick... But there is no washers. If people would rather the Apr bar I can organize that possibly.....

Any thoughts welcome.

Seems a bit too cheap.. Gotuning from the states quoted me about $400-500 just for shipping of one bar, I'd imagine 2 bars would be more.

Like I've mentioned above, I'd imagine that shipping would be the killer here. I've received 2 quotes locally for a bumper, both of which said shipping of a front bumper will be more than $400.

I'd love to be proven wrong though, it would be great to be able to get parts that cheap.

Allow 700 for everything.

Guys please keep in mind that ap1's have to be slightly stuffed around with to make them fit. The mounting hardware I got will not work on a 99. PMS replied

Are you able to give details as to why they won't work? I thought it was direct fitment other than having to cut the support but a little and a number of the stock clips on the undercarriage wouldnt fit.

I'm working on it guys, we have AP2 front and rear bumpers available but ONLY FACTORY PAINTED in JDM OEM AP2 colours (no Silverstone sorry)..

The AP2 Access Lips ARE available.

The only problem is they are too physically large to send by EMS and Sea Freight attracts high brokerage and customs fees.

We are looking at bringing them in a group-buy situation to be distributed from the east coast - the only way to make it viable in terms of cost is to bring in 5 or more items at a time.

I got a chance to test fit the Bayson R one, fitment seems pretty spot on when mounted onto the front bumper while its off the car, the fitment will probably change once the lip is actually holding itself onto the front bumper in opposed having the ground to support it. If I can find a way to mount it rigidly to the bumper then all should be fine.

There's one small gap where the lip rises under the tow hook point and at the end where it wraps around the bumper (one side only) but I'm sure that can be manipulated to fit properly that said I did take the lip straight out of the packaging without leaving it in the sun to go back to its original shape.
