Hi there to all, Have just joined the forum as my son and I have just purchased a 1989 Honda Integra DA3 2 door 5 speed manual coupe with electric sunroof for $350 and she has been a one owner since new with 253,000klms on the dash and ALL country miles plus owned by a woman, I am not joking plus have all the original books, service history and sales docs to boot. The lady owner actually cried when I started to head home as it was the very first new car she had ever purchased. We are planning on restoring her to her former glory but will be putting some nice rims on her and maybe a few other things as well. Once she is finished then she will be my son's first car. It is the first time we have owned a Honda so I think there might be a bit of a learning curve with her but over the years have restored many cars - 34 Chevy, Studybacker, mini cooper plus a couple of others. Now this Integra is in reasonable condition for her age and the only major thing wrong with her is that the gearbox is shot. That was due to the last mechanic that worked on her forgot to replace the gearbox filler/check plug, thus oil came out, dirt went in and chewed the box out so I am currently looking for a 5 speed manual gearbox for her. Other than that she is quite good but still needs a few little body trim part's and a LH electric mirror and rear hatch gas strut's. The interior needs a good steam clean as she is full of dust from the country dirt roads plus she had been sitting in a carport for 12 months on the property with the windows slightly down, so she was covered in dirt and dust from the property and farm equipment going by all the time. Hope to chat to everyone at some time and also get some good information about this model Integra. Chat soon. Thanks. :D

Thanks for the welcome. Have just been doing some work on the Integra. Now seeing that curtis265 would like to know more about the cars I have done over the years, I will start with my very first one which was the 34 Chevy. Found her in a hay shed covered in hay and full of other stuff which actually turned out to be 2 x BSA Bantam motorcycles which had been broken down (Winner). The only thing the chevy was missing was the carbie so I made up an adaptor plate and fitted a holden red 202 motor carbie to her. I did a fair amount of work to her and kept the interior factory standard along with the engine, gearbox etc. I fitted some mag's (5 slotters dragways) and painter her yellow. She looked great but in the end had to sell her as the Army would not transport her from QLD to VIC. :( but the next one I did was a EH holden. More on that later.
All the best to everyone.

Hi Jasemas and IEVAQ8, Thanks for the welcome and replies.
IEVAQ8, nice integra and very similar to what my son want to do to this one. As for torsion bar setup, I have done these before but not on a integra. I currently own a SsangYong Musso which has torsion bar suspension on the front and have had to reset that one up and before that one I had a Pajero which also was torsion bar suspension on the front. Will put some pic's up soon of the integra.
