Hi all,
I have an 89 Integra with a B18 engine. I recently had a motor replaced with a B18B1 from a 93 Integra. My problem is with what I believe is the ECT sensor. The original motor had what I believe is the ECT sensor at the rear of the block beside the alternator. The 93 motor did not have the same mounting point.
The 93 motor has a sensor in the thermostat housing which from what I have read appears to be the ECT sensor. I made a cable to connect the 93 sensor to the wires that the original 89 sensor was connected to but the fans do not operate. The fans do operate if I short the original 89 sensor wiring.
Can anyone tell me if the 89 and 93 sensors operate within the same range and/or offer any advice on where to go from here?
Thanks
