if you have an R go for it
if you have a base, and got the money, go for it...

if youve got the base.. sell it if you can and get the Type R. spent too much on the base and its seriously not worth it.. with the auto anyway :p

Well said base boys! :P

I don't know how many times I told you guys to sell up and get the R's.

Having said that I really do like tofu's car. I think personalising the DC5 is a great thing to do, but the R's shouldn't be touched all that much. Tofu's Spec Edition always looked great cruisin out with us! :P

hehe thanks spite...
I just like the luxury of my dc5...modification on the base dc5 will only seem worth while if you are satisfied of the outcome of your purchases...
but many times more often than not...i'd personally found that mods on the base (auto) didn't really seem worth the money spent....
yes i do notice change and gains, but it is soon short lived.

for the last time, just get the R

i am ready to mods my exhaust system. Which brand do you prefer??

The fujitsubo exhaust is fantastic if you want something that not only performs but is also fairly quiet. Personally I have a custom exhaust which consists of Hi-flow cat, 2.5" SS mandrel bent pipe, resonator and zetti muffler. It's absolutely awesome and produced 4kw at the wheels more than the fujitsubo.

It all comes down to how much you'd like to spend.

Fujitsubo - $ 990
Custom $1500 plus

I hope that helps.

I have tried both the fulitsubo rmo1a and powergetter, and like the powergetter a fair bit, nice bassy tone, bot not overly loud....

Has a 2.36" diameter and very nice finish.
As 46azm said, the 2.5" custom produces a bit more power (if tuned ... free plug for hondata :) and if you like a bit more noise, its worth it
