Hey guys I'm looking for a brakes specialists within the south eastern area but wouldn't mind traveling further for a highly regarded one. If you guys know any places who won't charge an insane price or tell me that there's a problem here or there or any bogusness. I just want someone to do the job straight up without hassle.
The problem is I'm trying to remove the squealing noise coming from the brakes. I had my car serviced recently and they have machined the disc or rotors (one of those, not sure). Confusing enough after the service, the squealing only comes on after 20-30 minutes of driving. So when I start to drive the car it is fine and has no noise at all. Once it hits the 30 minute mark it starts to squeal every time I brake. So basically if I stop driving for a bit it would rinse and repeat. The squeling noise happens when braking towards a red light or just slowing down at low or high speeds but when braking really really hard it's dead silent. Prior to the service the situation was different, it will squeal every time especially in colder weather and after driving the noise would lessen a bit as it warms up.
They said the brake pads are still quite thick and does not need to be changed.
By the way, I'd prefer to go to a brakes specialist over a dealer or general mechanic.
Thanks in advance
