Hey! Welcome to OzHonda!

Im running 17x9+38 with 215/45/17 (Stretched) in my rears with HKS coilovers with no modifications to the guards. With that setup I was rubbing the Inner Walls and Plastic Liner but it was only on the passenger side because of the Fuel line. The rear rims were installed on 18th May this year and its already tore a hole in the liners were it was rubbing. Some of the guys here on OzHonda have removed the plastic but i personally dont feel safe knowing that my Fuel line was Exposed. So i got a Stanley Blade and made the hole a little bit bigger and then used Heavy Duty Mask Tape to cover up the hole and it worked perfectly!

The specs you're going for may cause you a bit of problems depending on what your future setup will be. If you're thinking about lowering the car with camber then definitely will cause problems. I personally would say if you're going 9" wide then something between +38 to +30 offset. My friend Nity had Fluro Orange RPF1 with those specs. Looks great but his car is built for track so he doesnt care about the camber.

What wheels were you planning on buying?

I've already bought my wheels with the specs and they are RPF1's as well. I'm not too keen on camber and lowering the car at the moment and just want to leave it stock as it is for now.

invest on rear camber arm and get the camber set to -1.5 - -2

Ohhh Whos RPF1 did you buy? Were they Fluro Orange or Black?
Or were they brand new?

Like you said though, You dont want to 'For Now'. But when that day comes. you maybe need a fair amount of cash to run those wheels properly.
Even if you drop it on springs your car will naturally get camber and you will rub

They are black but was plastidipped with orange by the last owner. When that day comes is when I have money, which I won't have in a while. But leaving everything stock with 17x9 +45 with 225/45/17, will I rub the inner wall and lining? What can I do if it does rub?

+45 won't give you enough inner clearance

If it starts rubbing then or can either let it rub and eventually make its own hole in the pastic. Or do what i did and get a blade and make your own hole and then put heavy duty masking tape of it. if it rubs it will only rub on the passenger side because of the fuel line. drivers side will be fine. Not sure about the front though

Because mine are +45, wouldn't the rubbing along the fuel lining be more severe and potentially rub against the strut and fuel line?

Yeah, It will rub the plastic liner protecting the Fuel Line. not sure if it will rub on the actual fuel line. I dont think you'll rub the struts. our shocks and springs are seperate giving us a little more room to play with. But worst case. Just buy some 15mm Bolt on Spacers for the rear. which will make your rears 17x9+30 with 215/40/17 tyres (Stretcged) when lowered but since your car isnt lowered you should be able to use 225/40/17 and MAYBE have a little rub with a full car.
