Hello, i'm looking at doing a engine swap into a project car either a b or k series but can anybody tell me the physical size differances of the two incuding overall hight and width with manual box? i know the k20 and 24 have slight differances.

thanx
arthur

I'm looking to drop a k20 into a car that has never been done before.
But a handful of b series has been done but a very tight fit.

One canada guy put a b series in and was gonna turbo charge it was that the one? it was incomplete. some Russian guys did a b also and the famous back yard special in Japan did one but cant find a documented k series in a beat other than Grand Turismo LOL
If you know links to any conversions they would be very helpfull.

All I've done so far is put in the red ep3r recaros in and buying a few bits for the engine, going to start stripping and converting next month. Here is a photo with the seats in it.

I have seen this done before... I purchased a car off a guy who had the engine in and was in the process of getting it on the road... I have pics of the k20 in the engine bay on my old HDD... I will search through it tomorrow when I have time to give you an idea of how much space you got to work with....

Good to see then if someone started one the motor must fit in the chassis, any pics would be great as everything is R&D

The k series will not fit without major modifications, the 6 speed is larger then a b series and the package doesn't fit between the chassis rails, yes you can modify these and reinforce the rails. Then the motor/box hits the trailing arms, so new custom arms need to be made, engine sump will sit very low and the short track will leave you with very stumpy short drive shafts on a very aggressive angle you will keep smashing uni joints.
I stripped the engine bay went to start modifying then stopped put back to stock I decided to spend my time and money on another build
