Hi guys, Just got off the phone from honda regarding some new parts. All for dc2r

Tailgate rubber seal - $245
Taillight gaskets - $65 each
Windscreen trim (all 3 pieces) - $320

Is there an alternative to getting anally penetrated by honda? I know honda usa is cheaper, but how much am I likely to save and is it worth the hassle. I also dont know the part numbers and dont really want to call honda australia just to get them so I can purchase elsewhere.

why don't you just get some used ones? You would be mad to get new items for these.

Their all commonly worn out items, would rather do it right and do it once. Don't want my car full of water!

suit yourself, but 500 bucks for that crap is a rip off. Not worth spending it on a 15 year old car IMO

Tailgate rubber seal - You can go to Clark Rubber or any store that sells foam and make yourself a set.

Taillight gaskets - $65 each - Same as above, however DCZ18C is selling them for $65. Check out his thread:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?167247-FS-DC2-Tail-light-gaskets (listed at $75 but on the second page it looks like he dropped them to $65)

Windscreen trim (all 3 pieces) - Can't help you with this one. Is the rubber OK? On my old car, they were faded cosmetically, but the rubber was in great condition so I took them off and Plastidipped them. Came out OEM looking and lasted for the 1.5-2 years I owned it. Keep in mind that the windscreen is glued down so no water is going to leak in anyway. The trim is cosmetic only (though if enough leaves etc is caught in between you might develop some rust).

Hope that helps.
