Hey all, I was browsing carsales for a gen 3 crx and came across a nice one with an Electric Targa roof. Is this a standard feature of the gen 3 crx? or like a limited special release.

Cheers

you CAN fix it but it can be expensive, VERY expensive.
the best person to ask would be mrdelsol on the forums as he has 2 of these babys :)

NO Local Delsol came with the electric targa roof, its definatly an import.

Dont quote me, but im pretty sure that all the electric roofs came with d16 engines, as aposed to b16aII that comes stock in ALL local delsols.

They are very expensive to source parts and repair if something goes wrong, and are also an even heavier adition to the already heavey delsol.

Definately an import! I have a 95 model crx with the targa top, but its not electrical. They are a fantastic car, and it honestly doesn't take that long to get the roof off yourself. Plus it fits nicely in the boot. Personally, I wouldn't bother! Too much hassell in the long run, and it would be next to impossible to get it fixed if it ever broke!

if you have ever seen the electric roof open and close it looks like the space shuttle opening, its funny as
the entire boot lifts up and the roof slides into the boot lid and then it goes down

haha i was shocked when i saw it

Isn't it possible this could be an electric conversion?
