Hi Oz Honda members,

My 1997 honda del sol A/C unit has stopped working. More than likely this is a fuse issue but my original honda book does not specify what fuse needs replacing and where.

If anyone has come across this issue can you please advise what fuse needs replacing so I can have my A/C back.

Thanks,

seems unlikely it would be the fuse that would be stop your A/C from working. check the fuse anyway and then check the following.

other potential issues include:

* gas leak - low pressure reading at pressure switch is stopping compressor from running. Unplug the harness and short the connector for only a second, look/listen to see if A/C clutch is engaging
* A/C pressure switch is buggered, not closing circuit to engage clutch on compressor
* A/C clutch is buggered, new clutch or compressor time. as above, if you short out the harness at the pressure switch plug and clutch doesn't engage

Your A/C has to be on when performing the above tests too.

All your fans and buttons working on your climate control console?

Dont forget to check the relay as well, i've see a couple cases where they rust up due to moisture over the years.
