today I stupidly reversed and scratched my civic, I'm not very sure about the severity of the damage but I'm hoping it shouldn't be too much to get it repaired or resprayed. I don't know much so any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

I was just wondering how much it would cost to get this repaired and where would be good to do it at?

Thank you everyone :)

I've posted a picture of the damage, hopefully you all can help me :(

I live in the bankstown area so if anyone could suggest a good place to go to fix this problem that would be great thanks!

If any metal is exposed, ensure you get that covered with touch up paint, just to ensure no scratching.

If you haven't gone too deep you might be able to get away with a really abrasive polish, if not the bumper at least comes off and can be resprayed, the rear fender is a different story to respray :-S.

If I remember correctly, if your nail gets caught it can be too deep, if not check out the following post.

most of it should come offwith claybar + polish, or light sand + polish by the looks. cant tell how deep it is

then just spray clear coat or dab touch up paint on exposed metal

chances are after you do a ghetto fix you won't really notice it. ive done a few cars with the same kind of damage in that same spot

so if i was to bring this to a shop and get it fixed there how much do you guys reckon it'll cost me? im hopeless with this so i was just hoping to get some opinions on how much it would cost me or would it relatively simple to do it myself?

keep in mind that a respray it will probably be slightly different colour to the rest of the car

most of the bumper can be cleaned up with claybar/polish/touch up, but the quarter will probably be bogged (depending how deep the scratches are) you will also need to blend it in. If you are planning to keep it and don't mind just touch it up. Otherwise claiming insurance may even be worthwhile as you can get them to respray the whole bar/fix the quarter, depends on what your excess is.

the colour will never match, it's to do with the finish on plastic & metal.

with plastic, they won't be able to touch it up, they'll need to respray the whole bar. you'll be looking between 200-300 depending on the workshop
