vtec making weird noise

when vtec engages it makes a weird hissing noise sound like its air leak or something? really annoying checked all vac hoses etc still nothing. can sorta still feel it but doesnt have that grunt!
car still drives normal though. anyone got any ideas? thanks!

Checked your intake?

Also check flux capacitor mounts and headlight fluid level.

running neptune ecu connected laptop to it no codes, oil levels good, itr intake arm with poddy with lid on or off still can hear the hissing noise at vtec.

hmm now Im thinking maybe exhaust leak

blocked cat or cracked welds somewhere...

get under there and visually inspect the flanges,weld joins etc. for any carbon soot buildup from leak

hoisted the car yesterday blocked exhaust no signs of leaks but saw a little tiny black mark at the flange of headers might just be leaking through vtec will try unbolt and reseal ! was just seeing if anyone has had any of these issues before.

lol well ive had the intake on ever since i got my car i would be able to notice the difference, took a mate of mine for a spin and he notices it now aswell and says wth is that!

i know the usual sri hissing on idle this is on vtec though way different sound
