So i need to get this addressed to get a RWC.
The diff is fairly loose as the top and bottom rubbers are shot and the damper is just hanging in there.
Has anyone got this done or done it themselves?
Got quoted $90 for the labour at a local workshop which sounds ok,the parts are not so easy to find unless i go through Honda.
So far i'm looking at $450+.
I'm told it's a common problem.

$90 labour is about 1 hour, so that sounds about right.

As for the bushes, I wouldnt be surprised that the only way to get the is through Honda.

yes a very common fault you can get them from nolathan i think thats how you spell it , the red type picked mine up at the local parts shop (had to order in ) and honda do have them go ouch first , and around 1/2 hour to fit not a hard job instructions on youtube are good and when fitting use a synthetic grease so they slip a bit not ordenary gp grease that will degrade them :) and check you rear end mount very closly as the raer diff my have more movement than it should this is what was the underlined fault in mine whitch i missed first

Thanks guys, getting under it in the morning to see what is what.
Fairly easy to get it all off and look from there, thanks PLASTICSMOULDER,good bit of info there.
Might not be paying for the labour as it all looks close to hand.
Upon feel the top bushings you can fit a finger in but bottoms seem good,
The damper is like a loose cannon.
Never made noise though..

I got at it today and removed the bushings and damper, only took 20 minutes.
Bottoms seem good but the tops are well split http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/2793/2oa0.jpg

The damper looks well worn toohttp://img521.imageshack.us/img521/5209/ifii.jpg

Hopefully get them replaced next week.

Cheers!just to update upon fitting of the diff damper which i had sourced through a wreckers in Melb i found the fitting nut was the wrong shape so it must have been off the next up revised CRV edition.
Out came the hammer and i swapped the mounting bolts and it fit fine, all that was different was their size,RWC was no probs ;).
