hey guys i went down to good performance and got a quote from charlie while my mates accord was down there..

ok can you guys tell me if this is good.. for $4500.. full engine rebuild with JDM pistons.. reuse my B18 block wacking on a B16A head with computer and machining the block to heighten the compression.. with clutch and lightened flywheel.. well?? GOOD/BAD..

you be the judge lol.. and how much power you reck i will source out of this.. i asked charlie and he said it will be much better but he doesent know how much power extactly..

I could think of a much better way of spending 4.5k ie turbochrage it, would yeild much more power than this setup could

theres no way 4500 would get ur car turbo charged properly...
turbo charged, mayb - but guarateed ull b spendin more wen the engine blows or a turbo goes!
do it rite the 1st time round.

in regards to the question at hand, yeh sounds pretty damn good to me, full engine rebuild will allow ur engine to be 'turbo redy' if thats a step that ur plannin on takin!
i say go for it

i won't say anything bad about good performance, but i'd strongly advise you to have a look at some of the cars that have had their internals tinkered with by good performance before taking the plunge with a rebuild by them...
