Just wondering how much it would cost to get a flywheel lightened..
planning to get an ITR one which weighs approx 15lbs and i want it down to about 13lbs..
would i have any problems with that ?

2 pounds = not even 1 kg. (900ish grams etc)
Not worth the $100-150 labour charge to "shave" your flywheel.
Also , can have bad effects with non-proper machining - IE balance etc.
Get a lightweight produced standalone flywheel in the first place.

agreed...
losing the weight is one thing... but having the wheel balanced depends on whose doin the job and the machining tool... really not worth the $$$

yeh true i guess but it will make more of difference goin from a 19lb flywheel (current) to a 13lb flywheel (as opposed to 15lb)

When shaving, you probably won't get that kind of weight reduction. It's more like cleaning the surface.
While this can be done when you replace your clutch components, you reduce the strength of the flywheel (as it wasn't designed to be that weight).
In the past, I could not tell the difference between a OEM fly and shaved fly but I can tell the difference between a Light fly and OEM fly.
In any case, the choice is yours.
