2009 Legend - USB Audio?

Hi Guys

Just picked up my 2009 Legend - lovely car...

I plugged my Samsung Galaxy S4 (Android) phone into the USB port in the centre console - but the legends screen says "Not supported"
I was hoping I could at least use this USB port to play music on my phone via the cars great sound system... but seems not.

I can plug a plain old USB stick with MP3's on it and it plays fine..

Anyone know if its possible to get the phones music player to work?

Hi Legendman,

The reason it's not working is that the SGS4 does not support usb mass storage mode - it uses MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) so a mounted drive doesn't come up like it would on a USB drive.

You need some other form of integration like an AUX cable/bluetooth or something.

App to set s3 into ums mode, not sure if there's an equivalent for s4...

Ok thanks for the tips guys - will give the ums mode app a try and see how it goes.
