The missus has an 01 Accord in which the standard stereo has shat itself.
I'm looking to replace it. Anyone know what wiring harness this will need?
Also, will i need 2x wiring harnesses? eg.
headunit <-> headunits harness <-> Honda accord harness <-> speakers etc.
Many Thanks

Hey mate
I always hard wire mine in.
Its not hard, give it a try
All you need is wire strippers, heat shrink and a lighter
I did a quick google search for you
Should help you match your wires up

That link was for a 98 that might work but just check you have the same wires

if he can find a harness for his car, it might be easier for him to wire it into the car
wiring the headunit can be a little scary for some people lmao

Thanks guys.
Im good with the wiring, done a fair amount of soldering on PCB's in my day.
But do headunits come with the wires already exposed, or is it just a plug socket on the back?

depends, the aeropro ones are not exposed, they are just plug and play
if you can get one, turns a 2 hour job (doing it correctly with solder and careful hands) into a 10 minute job

if you buy a headunit, the wiring loom has a plug on one end, bare wires on the other, like so
http://www.filtsai.com/sti/stereo/harnesses_separate.jpg
Then you have to cut the plug off the car end, and join the wires.
If you dont want to do this, you buy 2 harness from aerpro, one that plugs into the headunit and has 2 universal male plug on the other end, and one that plugs into the car that has 2 universal female.

So you go;
HEADUNIT > aerpro cable 1 > aerpro cable 2 > Car
