So I have a 1996 Honda civic with a d16y8 engine and I need to change my timing belt and I looked at getting one and it turns out there is two with a different amount of teeth on them so does anyone know anything about the reason for 2 different ones and if there's a more common one ? If you need any more info just ask? :) I don't wanna have my car off the road waiting for the belt to come in if I don't have to ?

Also what else is good to change when doing a service like this? I have 230,000 on the clock to...

go to your local Honda dealer with your VIN # and get the correct part

Thanks ECU-MAN I didn't even think it but I called them up and they only gave me one belt and they couldn't tell me how many teeth it had so I looked it up and turns out it's the 104 tooth so wish me luck :p

Use your other thread, no need for multiple ones.
