b16 in too ek help

hey everyone I need a little bit of help im about to put my b16a2 out of my em1 vtir coupe in too my ek1 hatch, Ive got a whole car that im pulling the motor out of, is there anything else ill need and anything too watch out for

are you putting in a h22 or b16?

your post indicates b16 but your information about yourself says h22

you need the looms from em1

engine looms obd2b from em1 and use it to replace the ek1 looms

also use the rear engine mount from em1 as ek1 d series won't work with b16 as it's too long

its b16 in too the ek, not doing h22 anymore, Ive also been told that I need a wiring conversion harness too the ecu is that true?

you need an EK4 Engine loom

if you want to run the EM1 ECU you must remove the dash on both cars remove the loom from the EM1 and put it into the EK1 and then refit everything. Then resolve any issues that are caused by swapping looms.

then you can use the OBDIIb ECU. You will have to install an immobiliser bypass module in the OBDIIb ECU or install the immo receiver form the EM1 and use the EM1 keys or program in the EK1 keys.

changing looms is a headache, EK4 engine harness and OBDIIa ECU is a lot simpler but will cost you. EK4 Engine looms are getting hard to find now.

does the green plug have different wires? i thought theyre the same.
ive been told em1 loom works, dont have any experience using it.

OBD2b has a different wiring layout across the chassis. The main wire harness (behind dash) and engine wire harness was basically re-configured from 99 upwards. One of the ECU plugs was moved over to the dash harness, plug A from memory. And some of the wires in the green plug are also different
