DC2 VTI-R Prohibited vehicle

Hey guys so i just got defected and fined 3 points for driving a "prohibited vehicle"
My car is a 1994 honda integra dc2 vti-r
The cop seen me before and fined my friend for doing a burnout and impounded his car, i was in the passenger seat
The cop asked me if the car is modifyed, i said yes, then he begins to look at my engine bay, spots exhaust and pod filter, then looks over the whole car for other defects

I will be taking this to court because this is outrageous, police officer abusing his powers.

Thats very unfair, still taking it to court as its costing me 3 points and that will make me lose my licance, iv'e been driving this car for the last 3 years, been pulled over several times, never had a issue with pod filter or exhaust

Never had this issue with my r34 skyline non turbo, it had pod filter, exhaust, coilovers, i was only told to remove pod filter. but now i get a fine and lose 3 points no way

Definition of probationary prohibited vehicle (from 1 July 2007)

A vehicle that:
* Has an engine with eight cylinders or more, or
* Has an engine that is turbocharged or supercharged (except those listed in the probationary vehicle database). There are also some lower powered turbocharged or supercharged vehicles which have been exempted and can be operated by a probationary driver who has been given an exemption by VicRoads. Refer to lower performance turbocharged or supercharged vehicles and the probationary vehicle database for more information
* Has an engine that has been modified to increase the vehicle's performance (other than a modification made by the manufacturer in the course of the manufacture of the vehicle, or
* a nominated high performance six cylinder engine (refer to the probationary vehicle database).

Even if you say you havent been done in skyline or whatever. That just means the cop wasnt a prick or didnt pick up on it. Very rare for a cop to hand out the prohibited vehicle paper with a car that just has a pod and zorst. Either the officier didnt like your attitude and decided to anal you. Or he was having a bad day or is just a prick or needed to reach his target for the week.


Bad luck brother. At this point it time it looks like your stuck without a license.

Did you have headers/extractors on by any chance. Cause my mate got done in his vy exec for having extractors. Same situation as you. Lost his licence. Got car dynod and they said it isnt valid unless it was a proper engine dyno where its connected to the dyno via the flywheel.

Just had a look at your papers. Ken zeffert brimbank hwp. Grey marked highwaypatrol car yeah? Kinda young looking lad (mid 30s)?

If so, I got defected by that guy for wheels protruding guards low tint and splash guards. major defect with 350 or so fine. No points.

Yes he was mad because he seen me in a mates drift car sliding the street, my mate had suspended licance, taking the car out around the block for a bust, my mate got done and impounded 30mins later i go get my car and he pulls me over reconised me demainds my licancd asked if im suspended i said no, asked if my car is modiyed i said yes, he said pop the bonnet, sees exhaust headers and pod filter, checks the rest of my car for defects puts doen height, number plates not stight in center, and wheels having too much poke
Given minor defect whitch ill clear tommorw
And the 2 fines
He also didnt ask me to confirm my name address or dob like s normal cop does wen u get pulled over
The cop didnt take any photos so theres no evidance its my word vs his right? If i take it to court

listen here mates, the law says i cant modify a car to make more power, but i did it anyway and then the police stopped me and now im in trouble for modifying the car to make more power...unfair as fuk

sorry buddy but vic roads has a harsh rule set and this cop seems to wanna get in the anus of everyone with a modded car, but just cause you maybe a good driver (i have no idea if you are) but police see some shit and some people just arnt safe when driving or modding hence the laws, just some bad luck but maby making a bit more of an effort to go unnoticed would be beneficial i.e less burnouts with your mates?
performance car scenes all over the world are heavily influenced by local law as well as fads so maybe due to the strict rules its might be worth modding your car to suit.

The 3 points is for "unroadworthy vehicle" or similar- whether you had 1 defect or 30 it's 3 points.
