Dc2R Camshafts

whats your guys thoughts on camshafts. What you guys recommend in terms of performance gains and reliability.

it depends what you want out of the car as obviously change in cams can hugely effect the power band and this may not be a good thing in all cases.
the mild buddy clubs are great for street use but if your looking for something crazy, then toda vtec killers just cause sound is king but not to street friendly lol

im after power gains. Car is a weekend car, driven once a week. And i take it to drags quit often, soon to the track too. Not after a rebuild or compression change. just camshaft and valve spings extra

id have a look at the buddyclubs i think it was the tuner spec 3?? they are still street friendly but that mid and top end...wow

Buddy club spec 3 are good but more of a upgrade for a vtir as they are only slightly more agreesive . I seen people use skunk 2 cams and heard good gains with stock type r cr .
It really depends how much u wanna spend . Most cams available for c7 or cr as they already have slightly higher cr ... It's those like me that have to watch out with vtir running 10:1 cr lol

Skunk2 does excellent stuff for the B-series. As long as you're prepared to lose some daily driveability in exchange for your high-revving powerband.

I'm using the Skunk2 Pro stage 1's and they're good for daily/spirited driving.

Something to consider as well is your cam timing. it is a good idea to get adjustable cam gears with your cams, as you will be able to control where the power happens based on timing. For example if you want more mid range you can run a bit of overlap, or eliminate overlap altogether for high end power.
