Boxsters are probably the most common Porsche's that you see on the streets, and of course with this you will find many in all types of condition from great to far from great. This little Silver one was in reasonable condition for its age, in fact we have seen brand new cars in far worse condition than this Boxster!

This Porsche Boxster 986 was booked in for;

- Birthday Paint Correction Detail
- Protection of Paintwork
- Convertible Fabric Roof Clean & Treatment/Protection
- Full Interior Clean including Leather Treatment

As it arrived there were evident 'spider webbing' which normally is caused by incorrect wash techniques such as Sponge Washing, Single Bucket Washes and also Chamois Drying - most of you who still use this as normal way of washing will probably think "so what, car looks great still". Truth be told, no your car does not look as good as it possibly could!

This is simply due to a few key things. A Sponge itself will capture dirt and drag it across your paints surface marring and damaging the paintwork, and likewise with your Chamois. We always highly recommend using a Soft Microfibre Mitt (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/mint/microfibre_plush_wash_mitt) or a Lambswool Mitt (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/mint/deluxe_wash_mitt) to Wash your car with, and either a Soft Microfibre Waffle Weave Drying Towel (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/mint/microfibre_drying_towel_waffle_weave_x_large) or Microfibre Chamois (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/mint/microfibre_chamois) (not PVA, Leather or Synthetic!). Combine these 2 items with the Two Bucket Method (http://howto.carcareproducts.com.au) (using Dual Buckets + Grit Guard) and your favourite pH Neutral Car Wash and you should hopefully eliminate the chances of marring your paint whilst washing and drying.

Now thats out of the way, lets continue onto the Porsche Boxster.

You can see the condition the paintwork arrived in, with spider webbing and marring found through the paintwork and inclusive of the plastics and tail lights as well.

The Leather also needed to be cleaned thoroughly and reconditioned as we do not think it has ever had any previous attention - this was cleaned using the Duragloss Leather System (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/duragloss/professional_leather_system) leaving the leather trim back to a soft and supple factory satin/matte finish.

The plastics were quite dull from UV damage and old age, however Nanolex Trim Rejuvenator & Sealant (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/nanolex/trim_rejuvenator_and_sealant) definitely works a treat!

For a 10 year old + car the birthday detail was well worth it, leaving the paint protected with 1Z Einszett Metallic Polish Wax (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/einszett_1z/metallic_polish_wax) to leave a nice wet reflective finish over the Silver Paintwork that will last up to 12 months allowing the customer to re-apply when needed.
