hi needing a new gearbox for my b18c2 which originally came with the s80 but am unable to find an s80 replacement for it but have found many y80's and was wondering if it's much trouble putting the y80 onto my b18?

cant easily be done
any B series hydraulic 91-00 gearbox will suit your car mate - so keep a look out.
You can use a GB off a
DC2R , DC4 , EK4 , EM1 , EG6 , CRX etc

Where does the cable clutch come into this? Y80/s80 don't run cable, neither does an EM1 which I assume this is for..
They will bolt on to the engine, but ratios could be different. See this thread for more info- http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?126519-Gearboxes-for-B-series!

Best bet would be to get the B16A2 box IMO. Car will drive a little harder unless you want it to be a cruiser.
