hi guys, been searching on the forum, I still couldn't figuring out which spec I should use for the JAZZ GD VTI
Just for normal driving , no high rev at all, I would change oil every 5000km, so I should go for 5W40 or 10W40 or 10W30?

How many kms are on the engine atm?
Unsure how long you've had the car but is it burning the current oil?

if youre changing every 5k kms, then pretty much any oil within oem viscosity range will do lol, its only a jazz

Guys, might help the owner by specing the oil viscosity ;)
Btw, I don't know what the factory specs otherwise would say lol

Sorry HPR5 is a 5W40. Perfect all round oil for Honda's
Yallah i use genuine FEO honda oil. does the job. I have also used the Penrite and i have found that the FEO gets dirty much quicker than the penrite. that being said, if you change your oil regularly, its not much of a problemo.

Ive used FEO 10-30, FEO Ultra 5w30 and Castrol Edge 5w30 on the Jazz
Between the three ive found the Castrol Edge to be the best, also good price when on sale

10W/40 is not too heavy for the Jazz engine.
Hasn't oil choice been mentioned somewhere before :o

Mate, If you have owned the car long enough, you should be able to tell within 1 month what grade oil to put in. If 10/40 works then it works. I'm currently using 10/50 Royal Purple on my gf's car. Its the best she has ran in the 2 years of us owning it. Shes currently sitting on 96xxxKM 01 Model VTi. We have been using Honda FEO before we made the switch. These cars dont require much, just put in a well branded full syn with OEM or Hamp filter and your good to go for 10,000KM's.
Its a single cam motor these aren't designed to make that power or to be tracked to be worried about what grade oil your putting in. I hear a hamp filter will work for 15,000KM.
Our Jazz oil is still golden and its been 3600KM into the oil change.
My EM1 i changed the oil 4 days ago. Its black as shit. (less then 300km, but then I do rev it out to 8.6k on the daily lol)

I like to go with the thinnest, Jazz manual states it can take 0w-20 but thats a bit pricey, currently running mobil super synth or pennzoil 5w-30 @ $8 a quart
