But I didnt see anyone post this (maybe they did, but I couldnt see any... didnt look very hard. Just starting another discussion now) :

http://www.turbokits.com/Honda/Accord/Turbo_Kits/TSI_Ball_Bearing_Turbo_Kit/263/

Current thoughts about the above product?

question 1:
whats the quality of the turbo, doesnt look like one of the well known brands.

question 2:
engine management, what are you going to do with that?

Garrett. I've heard they're good from one 'not-reputable' source i.e. my friend. Otherwise, I'm waiting on my mechanic to get back to me on his opinion... and anyone else that can weigh in?

Thats pretty much something i was hoping to get an idea about here.

Garrett is good, as long as it's a genuine garret not a chinese copy

at this stage you'll need flashpro and tsx ecu and a custom tune.

thats quite a bit of money.

imo $1200 give/take for the ecu is quite cheap compared to cars like an STI which youre looking at over $3k

You can get Cobbs AP for the Subaru for less than a grand.
Or there's open source solutions available on your laptop for free on the Subaru...

01 WRX onwards have programmable ECU, that is if you only run a single tune, even with an older model you can essentially piggyback with a Power FC.

Side note - Cosworth anything on Subaru is baller.

my mate was interested in the ECU tech tune for his 2012 wrx (not STI) which cost approx $600 and gave him approx 220kw at the crank? if i remember correctly.

Agreed.

You will need some sort of stand-alone fuel management system
